The legal basis of the establishment and functioning of the Master’s Degree programmes within the “DIMITRIE CANTEMIR”UNIVERSITY of Tîrgu Mureş

Symbol of Mureş culture and spirituality, “Dimitrie Cantemr’’Campus is a modern structure capable of providing excellent conditions for scientific and educational activities through its location, permanent improvement and ergonomic design.

“Dimitrie Cantemir”Campus provides optimal conditions for training and recreation of students, becoming a complete and complex educational habitat at European and international standards.

For the 60 professors as well as for the students, the campus is the second home – a place of teaching or acquiring the knowledge necessary for young people to enter into the socio-professional life.

The University provides students with a specialized library with over 34,000 volumes and a modern reading room.

“Dimitrie Cantemir” University is accredited by the Law 136/2005 and organizes master’s degree programmes under Law 2 / 09.01.2008, Orders MEC 5538 / 30.09.2008, 5356 / 29.09.2009 and Law 250 / 30.06.2009.

“Dimitrie Cantemir” University grants total merit-based scholarships or partial scholarships for the students with excellent results. Other scholarships are granted for the children of the heroes of the December 1989 revolution and young people in certain degrees of disability.

Our University offered this year, through the ERASMUS programme, scholarships of 110,000 euros per month for 56 students from the Faculty of Geography, Psychology, Educational Sciences, Economics and Law.

The classes schedule is set such that attendance at courses can be followed by as many students as possible, including those employed in the public or private sectors, the access to study being also facilitated by the e-Learning System that the University provides to all students.

The University aims to establish a strong link between the academic and the professional world, through periodic debates within the master’s degree programmes, where we invite, along with students and professors, personalities with professional backgrounds.

Our goal is that the graduates of the “Dimitrie Cantemir” University have the highest level of training, based on the theoretical and practical knowledge required by the labor market, so that at the end of the studies, they can get a safe and well paid job .

Duration of Degree Programme: one year / 2 years;

The Master’s degree programme “Banking and Capital Markets” (BCM) belongs to the field of BA degree in”Finance” and connects with the second cycle of the “Finance” MA degree of Finance and Banking.

The licensing area under which the master’s degree studies operate has been accredited by Law no. 136 of 2005, published in the “The Official Gazette of Romania”, Part I, no. 434 of May 20, 2005.

The elaboration of the Master’s Programme complied with the legal provisions regarding the education and the status of the academic staff, the organization of the university studies, the organization and the conduct of the master’s degree studies, as well as the Methodology for External evaluation, the standards, the reference standards and the list of indicators of performance.

The Master’s Degree Programme is organized by the MA Studies Department in collaboration with the Faculty of Economic Sciences.

“European Banking and Capital Markets” addresses the following target groups:

  • First of all, the Master’s target is represented by the graduates of the current 1st cycle of actual academic studies with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Second, the aim of this master’s degree is the graduates of any faculty, regardless of the field in which the bachelor’s degree has been acquired, which has concerns about banking and capital markets.
  • all target groups are employees – economists or not – working in different departments of banks, financial institutions, stock markets and their complementary institutions as well as of any component of the financial market that want to improve in terms of banking And scholarship, in order to broaden the opportunities for advancement.
  • Lawyers, who need solid banking and scholarly knowledge, to pursue their professional careers.
  • Teachers from non-economic and pre-university education, who teach economics, where the impact of banking and stock market knowledge is major.
  • Any person holding a bachelor’s degree who is interested in understanding the radical changes that Romania’s integration into the European Union has and will have on stock market practice.

 

The competencies that are acquired after graduating the MA can be split into 4 main groups:

  • cognitive skills (knowledge):
  • acquiring the theoretical fundamentals, with practical implications, in the financial, banking and stock market, which underpin the mechanisms that impart dynamism and innovation in the financial environment in a broad sense; Acquiring practical knowledge and skills in communication and public relations in banking, capital market and insurance;
  • analysis of the fundamental concepts of monetary theory and their application to the study of monetary policy issues;
  • knowledge of the main issues related to the securities market;
  • Appropriate use of concepts related to IT systems in enterprises;
  • acquiring a pragmatic language through which to describe, model, optimize and communicate the components and the whole information-informatics system;
  • Understanding the necessity of developing the activity of the securities market;
  • knowledge of the mechanism of the two trading compartments of securities: primary and secondary market;
  • knowledge of the short-term credit market and its importance;
  • knowledge of stock placements where an investor can appeal according to his / her position on risk;

  • Understanding the impulses that have generated the expansion of the international financial transformation mechanisms in a highly dynamic, highly complex and specialization field that can be invoked unhindered;

  • knowledge of taxation in EU countries and the need to harmonize Romanian and European taxation;

  • acquiring mastering techniques and banking communication techniques, in normal and crisis situations, and developing a project to streamline banking communication, as well as preparing students for doctoral studies;

– acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for effective communication in banking organizations for counseling;

The mission of the BFA Master’s Programme is to train financial professionals at international standards by promoting flexible and innovative Master’s studies.

BFA provides a basic knowledge of the conceptual and practical framework of the financial field, BFA offers integrated training through interdisciplinary curricula to teach students with real skills to successfully solve financial problems, BFA leads to the training of competent, creative professionals, able to independently run financial and investment activities.

BFA contributes to the understanding and mastering of management knowledge and of new information and communication technologies related to the studied field. Through all this, BFA facilitates the development of a successful career in the financial field.

The specific objectives of the proposed programme are reflected in the acquisition of skills that will lead to the development of the practical capacity to accomplish the mission, to the continuous development and professional development, to facilitating the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Romanian specialist in the financial field, to the use of the knowledge acquired in the studied subjects And the capitalization of the publications in the field, the training of specialists in the field, with a rapid reaction capacity, which will meet the current competitive environment, promote the quality and efficiency of the educational process.

The competencies that are acquired after graduating the BFA can be split into 4 main groups:

  • cognitive skills (knowledge):

– acquiring theoretical fundamentals with practical implications in the financial, fiscal field which are the basis of the mechanisms that impart dynamism and innovation in the business environment;

– knowledge of the main macroeconomic issues related to currency and money flows as well as of the monetary intervention instruments in the economy;

– the adequate use of concepts related to IT systems in enterprises;

– the formation of a complete picture of international finances – public and private – and the appropriation of the theoretical and operational tools of the basic components of international finance;

– acquiring knowledge and practical skills in formulating and adopting decisions, acquiring economic methods of substantiation of bid prices, designing strategies and tactics on the price side.

  • functional competencies:

– the theoretical substantiation of interventional levers at micro and macroeconomic level;

– interpreting the economy as a complex system based on monetary indicators;

In order to achieve the objectives, the proposed Master’s Programme also contains an individual, vocational research component, which consists of the possibility of participating students in the development of research projects in the University Center of Studies.

The results of these activities can be presented at a symposium of Master’s students at “DimitrieCantemir” University in TîrguMureş.

The licensing area under which the master’s degree studies operate has been accredited by Law no. 136 of 2005, published in the “The Official Gazette of Romania”, Part I, no. 434 of May 20, 2005.

The Master’s Degree Programme is organized by MA Studies Department.

The Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics of the “DimitrieCantemir” University of TîrguMureş collaborate for the organization and functioning of the Master’s degree programme.

The target groups of the Master’s Programme “Judicial proceedings and liberal professions” are represented by the following categories of persons:

  • the graduates of the Faculty of Law at “DimitrieCantemir” University of TîrguMureş and other law schools from Mureş County and the neighboring counties who want to sit as judges, notaries, bailiffs, lawyers, mediators or legal counselors, as such, in the judiciary of Romania, the institutions of the European Union or the EU Member States;
  • judges, notaries, bailiffs, lawyers, mediators and legal counselors from Mureş County and the neighboring counties, who are in the exercise of the profession, according to the regulations in force, which pursue the deepening of the legal studies or have concerns in the field of legal research;
  • other persons with legal studies, employed or not within the public authorities or institutions in Mureş County and its neighboring counties, who intend to occupy a position involving in-depth legal studies.

– civil and commercial jurisdictional procedures;

– jurisdictional procedures for minors and family;

  • functional competencies, which aim at exercising, in conditions of legality, performance and morality, the duties of:

– judge or arbitrator or mediator, for arbitration or arbitration, mediation, civil or commercial litigation;

– prosecutor, for observing the law and the general interests of society, as well as categories of persons (minor, forbidden in court, missing), in the judicial activity of settling private litigation;

PROGRAMME –PSYCHOLOGY AND EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES

Quality Assurance in Education

Duration of Degree Programme: 2 years;

As a result of the tendency of decentralization of the educational system in the financial, curricular and human resources fields, the school manager (including the management functions specified in the Staff Regulations) will have an increased decision-making authority and a special responsibility towards the school and the clients – pupils, parents and the community as a whole.

Therefore it is a transformation of the school unit director from a simpleadministrator  into a manager and a true leader of the local education community.

Thus, his activity cannot be achieved on the basis of the native qualities and the “teaching” experience, but it must be supported by a direct and explicit professional training: managerial training is not considered as a simple “improvement” but but it must be seen as a real change of profession.

Answering to the immediate need to professionalize current and future managers in the Romanian educational system, the defining characteristic of the Master’s Degree in Quality Assurance in Education is the relationship between theory and practice – the challenges brought by the new experiences and their use, the exercises and simulations, the managerial practice- all of them having actual theoretical guidelines and providing comprehensive practice-oriented training.

The  MA degree programme Quality Assurance in Education addresses the following target audiences:

Duration of Degree programme: 2 years;

The Master’s Degree Programme “Human Resource Management” belongs to the field of BA  degree “Psychology” and connects to the second cycle in the field of MA degree in “psychology”.

The aims of the programme are to form and train specialists in:

  • organizational diagnosis and organizational intervention;
  • assessing the quantity, quality and efficiency of human resources of organizations;
  • providing psychological assistance and counseling to managers;
  • developing and implementing planned improvement programs or plans for individuals and organizations.

The main target groups for this MA are the following:

  • graduates of higher education institutions interested in taking leadership positions within different companies, national / multinational companies;
  • managers of companies (of various sizes) interested in managerial improvement;
  • potential promoters of different institutions interested in promoting projects (regional, national, European);
  • human resources specialists, eager to improve their knowledge in the field and to promote modern management methods for companies;

Clinical Psychology and Intervention Techniques through Counselling and Psychotherapy (accredited by The Romanian College of Psychologists)

Duration of Degree Programme: 2 years;

The Master’s Degree Programme “Clinical Psychology and Intervention Techniques through Counselling and Psychotherapy” belongs to the field of BA studies in “Psychology” and connects with the second cycle of the MA degree in “Psychology”.

The programme provides for the deepening of the training of some professional categories (psychologists, psychopedagogists, doctors, etc.) in the fields of research and application of psychology, according to the requirements imposed by the professional context regulated at national and European level.

  • Mission:

We aim to increase the degree of specialization, imperative in reducing the academic training period, creating a more varied and attractive offer for both our graduates and those of other faculties.

The MA aims to integrate disciplines specific to other sciences that interact with psychology.

Attracting potential master’s students and ensuring their preparation in accordance with the requirements imposed by the labour market and the desire to impose on us through the quality criterion.

– presenting intervention programs to improve the consequences of the child’s problem, taking into account the specificity of the development path it goes through;

– acquiring and strengthening the main counseling techniques;

– instrumentation with new intervention techniques in the field of psychotherapy by presenting a non-normative and non-pathological intervention system belonging to the Palo Alto School, promoted in Europe through the Gregory Bateson Institute in Belgium, applicable in the clinical field;

– family responsibility for raising, caring for and educating their own children; promoting the social integration of people with disabilities as active citizens able to control their lives; providing support for the families in which they are composed; disabled people; ensuring that people with disabilities have full rights and freedoms; promoting, respecting and guaranteeing the rights of people affected by domestic violence in order to develop each family member in an environment free of violence; making access to mental health care of a reasonable quality; Increasing the quality of life;

– knowing the peculiarities of attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome on different age groups; performing differential diagnosis with other pervasive disorders; creating a customized intervention plan;

– knowing the ways of psychotherapeutic intervention in situations of psychological suffering in the child and adolescent by specific techniques in adult and family therapy;

– knowing how to improve communication; Learning and experimenting ways to defuse conflicts;

– identifying the main models of learning and their role in the forms of counseling; acquiring and deepening knowledge in terms of learning and mediated experience; knowledge and development of counseling methods based on learning styles;

– familiarization with the main themes and concepts related to e-learning and educational software systems, focusing on the theoretical-communicative side, vision, network integration, integration with other IT systems, access, e-learning platforms and educational software, Virtual teacher, video-Elearning, electronic conferences, etc., as well as the pragmatic one, namely e-learning applications (Moodle), educational software, virtual laboratories, simulators (Celestia). And access to electronic libraries and ways to create them;

– the transfer of knowledge in practice by using statistical software in this field: SPSS, StatView;

– structuring the knowledge in the field of practical field and laboratory work by observing the structure of a scientific paper recommended by the Association of American Psychologists (APA);

– assimilation of intervention techniques for cognitive, behavioral and biological dysfunctions;

– acquiring the capacities for evaluation and therapeutic intervention of psychopathological impassioned children and adolescents, those with behavioural disorders, as well as their families;

– co-intervention skills in psychotherapy by addressing a position of a therapist in relation to the patient, respecting his position and his vision of the world; Familiarizing with intervention techniques that emphasize paradox, metaphor and the identification of the problems of suffering that occur within the interactions;

– ability to apply principles, methods, tools and techniques specific to logotherapy and existential analysis;

– the ability to generate and maintain an adequate set of relationships with all parties involved in running crisis management intervention programs;

– the ability to investigate perceptual-motor, attentional, verbal and verbal performance in children with attention deficit and hyperactivity;  the use of diagnosis and intervention methodology in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder;

– training and developing the ability to communicate effectively with the client; developing the ability to grant aid under the non-directive approach; developing empathic capacity and congruence between verbal and non-verbal language; acquiring assertive training;

Tourism and Environmental Protection

Duration of Degree Programme: 1 year/ 2 years;

The Master’s Degree Programme “Tourism Resources and Environmental Protection” belongs to the field of “geography” and connects with the second cycle of the Master’s degree in “tourism geography”.

The Master’s Degree Programme is organized by the Department of MA studies.

Given that it represents an advanced form of current university studies in the functioning of this Master’s degree programme, the Faculty of Economics collaborates with the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.

This type of multidisciplinary education is addressed to graduates of higher education who wish to improve their knowledge in the field of tourism resources and environmental protection regardless of their initial specialization:

– graduates of the Faculty of Geography of the “Dimitrie Cantemir” University of Tîrgu Mureş and other faculties in Mureş County and neighboring counties who want to work in tourism or environment protection in Romania or other Member States;

– business and tourism-specific business that intends to integrate, study, or conduct research;

– other persons with specialized studies, employed or not within the public authorities or institutions in Mureş County and its neighboring counties, who intend to occupy a post involving in-depth studies in the field of geography.

The competences acquired within the master’s programme  can be grouped into cognitive, functional, personal and general competencies:

– acquiring the theoretical foundations with practical implications in the field of geography that underlie the mechanisms that impart dynamism and innovation in the tourism phenomenon;

– analysis of the current state and experience of the competent institutions regarding the management of natural and man-made resources;

– establishing the priorities, institutional structures and the necessary steps for the development and implementation of the tourism resource management system from the perspective of sustainable development;

– establishing the functions and responsibilities within the institutional structures, the specific training of the persons invested with responsibility;

– the assembling of concepts in a coherent scientific language and its appropriate use in the professional community;

– explaining and demonstrating the legitimacy of the underlying principles and methodological norms: selection, definition and classification of educational objectives; the allocation and organization of training time, the structuring of design methods; strategies for implementing innovations and evaluation models;

– analysing and evaluating national, European and trans-European policies in the field of the protection of natural and tourism resources in particular; Identifying critical issues and key trends in evolution;

– understanding the environmental impact assessment process;

– knowledge of legislative procedures related to impact assessments in Romania;

– knowledge of methods and techniques for assessing the human impact on the environment;

– knowledge of the relationship between environmental impact assessment and environmental planning;

– understanding the distribution of water resources on Globe; water transfer phenomena between different environmental compartments, sustainable management of water resources, water quality estimation; measures to prevent pollution;

– assimilation of practical skills regarding the management of tourism companies, ways of motivating staff, communicating with clients and potential partners in solving conflicts and correct relationship, fighting stress;

– initiating comparative analysis of national and international environmental policies;

– training the design and realization of a geographic research at an empirical level;

– developing solid knowledge and skills in the field of project management;

– familiarization with the main sources of financing in the field of project management in tourism and environmental protection;

– assimilation of the main stages of each project (also known as project life cycles) – conception; Planning / developing the project idea, launching the project / team training, running / execution, monitoring, closure.

– developing a guide for the design and implementation of quality assurance procedures in tourism;

– the use of tourism development techniques;

– construction of tools for diagnosis and intervention in the field of tourism, according to the requirements formulated;

– elaboration of impact studies on the use of resources on the environment;

– assisting the design of strategies for the use of tourism resources from the perspective of sustainable development;

– exercising the ability to use the computer in the processing of statistical information and information interpretation;

– initiation in the elaboration of tourism financing projects;

– forming skills and abilities to manage a financing project;

– empowering in the initiation, drafting, running and finalizing of a managerial project;

– training the skills needed to plan and conduct evaluation studies;

– acquiring and capitalizing on the techniques for developing the evaluation report;

– exercise of the main assessment methods used in environmental quality studies.

– establishing the priorities, institutional structures and the necessary steps for the development and implementation of the tourism resource management system from the perspective of sustainable development;

– knowledge of the relationship between environmental impact assessment and environmental planning;

– familiarization with the main sources of financing in the field of project management in tourism and environmental protection;

– exercise of the main assessment methods used in environmental quality studies.

 

THE ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION are conducted between 10.07.2017 – 28.07.2017 or 04.09.2017 – 29.09.2017 at “Dimitrie Cantemir” Campus, on Bodoni Sándor Street no. 3-5, between 10 o’clock and 18 o’clock;

Admission takes place in descending order of the Baccalaureate average score, until all the places that have been assigned by the Ministry of National Education have been filled.

The enrollment fee for the academic year 2017-2018 is 100 lei and includes the equivalent of the documents required for your personal enrollment and registration, as well as the student card and the student ID. Registration is made  at the same time with the enrollment and involves paying the first tuition fee.
