The curriculum and the analytical programs related to this specialization direction, ensure a fundamental training in this field of great interest.

They provide a basic training in the field of Psychology, complemented by a specialized training in the existing directions at higher levels.

 

 

 

The main objectives of this specialization are:

– training of specialists whose competence is suitable for the activity in the education, clinical or industrial field, in order to evaluate and plan the psychological intervention;

– ensuring the theoretical and practical foundations, which allow the participation in solving some complex issues, which require interdisciplinary investigations;

– knowing the functioning of the psychic mechanisms, of the interpretation of the human behavior in different social situations, as well as the identification of the instruments of diagnosis, improvement and intervention;

– training skills and abilities to use the most appropriate methods, means and techniques of investigation in the field of psychology;

Graduates will be able to expand and improve their training in master’s studies.

Bachelor’s Degree Program: 3 years, full-time course

All specializations are included in the ERASMUS + Program

The mission of the Faculty of Psychology, Psychology specialization is to train valuable specialists in education and in various branches of industry and health, to meet the requirements of economic, social and legislative changes in our country.

Benefiting from the constitutional framework created by assuming the obligation by the Romanian state, to comply with the right to education and the equality of individuals to enjoy the values ​​created by civilization, the Faculty of Psychology within the “Dimitrie Cantemir” University aims to:

– the realization, from the perspective of psychological training, of a strong university-academic polarizing center;

– equality, for each student, to benefit in his/her preparation from the academic base of the University;

– a response to the demand for trained labor in the psychological field.

The Faculty of Psychology  has developed continuously thanks to the activity of teachers, the active promotion on the educational market, and the success of our graduates on the local and regional labor market, becoming a prestigious university education institution for the eastern region of Transylvania.

The Faculty of Psychology  currently includes a certified bachelor’s program in Psychology, as well as 3 master’s programs established under the Education Law no. 84/1995, amended by Law no. 2/2008: Quality Assurance in Education, Human Resource Management and Clinical Psychology and Intervention Methods through Counseling and Psychotherapy.

The structure of the academic year

The educational process is carried out based on the National Education Law no. 1/2011 and the Charter of the “Dimitrie Cantemir” University, the Internal Regulations, the Regulations for organizing and conducting elections for management structures and functions, the Regulations on student activity, as well as on the basis of system and operational procedures related to the Quality Manual.

University studies are organized in Romanian language.

The undergraduate program in Psychology belongs to the field of “Psychology” bachelor studies, within the fundamental field “Psychology and Educational Sciences” and is part of the first university cycle, with a period of 3 years and 180 credits.

Undergraduate degree programs are addressed to the following target groups:

– high school graduates with a baccalaureate degree;

– graduates with higher education, who pursue the development of a successful career in the psychological field.

– employees working in different fields related to the existing specialization.

The educational process, after a substantiation in the first year of study, has the following main directions: educational psychology, work and organizational psychology and clinical psychology. To this end, the curriculum is structured on fundamental, specialized and complementary disciplines. Also, emphasis is placed on practical disciplines, in order to train specialists to integrate as easily as possible in the practical activity.

Graduates of the specialization will be able to integrate in the activities within the various branches of social life and the national economy, mainly in the field of psychology, but also in the local and territorial administration
