Candidates who wish to be admitted to higher education, undergraduate and master’s studies, must meet the following criteria:
1. to be a graduate of a high school accredited in the country of origin and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Research. The list of high school diplomas recognized by the Ministry of Education and Research can be consulted by accessing the attached file: DOC. – pdf.
2. to have the Baccalaureate and undergraduate diplomas legalized, as the case may be, or have them accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the competent authorities in the country of origin; legalization is applied by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy/Consular Office of Romania in the respective country; for countries where there are no diplomatic missions of Romania or which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents will have the visa of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.

The recognition of high school studies for non-EU citizens is carried out by the Directorate General for International Relations, European Affairs (DGRIAERO) and Relations with the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) within the Ministry of Education and Research of Romania.
Non-recognition of high school studies by DGRIAERO leads to the loss of student status as well as all fees paid up to that point.

Diplomas issued in states that are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention / members of the Swiss Confederation will be authenticated by:
• The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy/Consular Office of Romania in the respective country;
• For countries where there are no diplomatic missions of Romania or which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents will be endorsed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.
5. Transcripts of records – copy of the original document and authorized translation of the original document (authorized copy and translation);
6. Certificate of graduation from the Romanian language preparatory year or a Romanian language certificate, minimum level B1- a copy according to the original;
7. Application for the Letter of acceptance to study in Romania
8. Birth certificate – authorized translation
9. Passport – copy;
10. Copy of documents proving residence abroad;
11. Receipt or proof of payment of the registration fee – 500 ron
12. Medical certificate issued in the country of residence of the candidate attesting that the person who is going to register for studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other conditions incompatible with university studies, translated, as the case may be, into Romanian, English or French.
