The Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) is a structure of the Dimitrie Cantemir University in Târgu Mureș established on the basis of:
OMEC no. 650/19.11.2014 for the approval of the Methodology – framework regarding the organization and operation of career counseling and guidance centers in the higher education system in Romania.
OMECS no. 3070/14.01.2015 for the amendment of the Methodology – framework regarding the organization and operation of career counseling and guidance centers.
CCOC’s fundamental objective is to offer new employment opportunities for students from the University’s educational system, through counseling and career guidance activities aimed at:
· guiding and advising students so that they are able to optimally plan and manage their own educational path;
· reducing university dropout caused by professional reasons or career orientation, as well as personal reasons or adaptation to the university environment;
· facilitating the relationship between students and the labor market, so that they know the real needs and challenges of the labor market;
· increasing the employability of students in the fields of study graduated
The objectives of the Career Counseling and Guidance Center are the following:
· informing candidates, students and graduates about the educational offer offered by the University;
· advising students and graduates regarding the knowledge of the individual profile, professional aspirations, interests, motivation, etc.;
· providing specialized services related to the issue of choosing a career;
· training and development of responsible and informed decision-making capacity on the academic and career path.
The CCOC team consists of:
Director: University lecturer. Dr. Andrei Cotruș – Expert specialist psychologist with the right to supervise in Educational Psychology, school and vocational counseling
Professor Camelia Stanciu – Expert specialist psychologist with the right to supervise in Educational Psychology, school and vocational counseling
Professor Tomulețiu Elena Adriana – PhD in sociology
