„Dimitrie Cantemir” Publishing House Târgu Mureș was established within the Foundation of the same name, through the approval granted by the Ministry of Culture in 1995.

The creation of this department was the answer to the need to provide students with courses, practical work guides and textbooks specific to curricula and analytical programs by disciplines.

Thus, a decentralization of the education system was achieved, for the benefit of increasing the quality of the skills portfolio and ensuring, at the same time, the equity of opportunities, in the educational process of the students.

„Dimitrie Cantemir” Publishing House Târgu Mureș carries out its activity in accordance with the curricular content specific to the faculties, curricular contents approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.

Along with a modern equipment, adapted to the logistical demand required by the new developments in the printing field, the publishing house has the contribution of a professional team of technical editing – printing – led by Univ. Lecturer Dr. Eng. Alexandru Bogdan Murgu – editorial advisor, certified by the Central Commission of the Ministry of Culture.

Today, the “Dimitrie Cantemir” publishing house registers a telling record, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Over 800 titles, in over 15,000 copies saw the light of day.

The academic level of the publishing house, a sine qua non condition of a prestigious presence in the cultural and scientific life, which has long exceeded the borders of our institution, was materialized by the high demand for volumes, formulated by universities, colleges and post-secondary schools of great tradition.

“Dimitrie Cantemir” Publishing House collaborates with the National Library of Romania, in the methodology of granting legal deposit numbers and international numbers for standardizing books I.S.B.N. and I.S.S.N., and the scientific value of the volumes, to which these indications are granted, is certified by the reports granted by specialized teachers, with special training and professional experience.
