“Dimitrie Cantemir” University of Târgu Mureș Hosts an International Round Table on the Use of Virtual Reality in Reducing Dyslexia

On *June 25, 2026, starting at 11:00 a.m., in Library, “Dimitrie Cantemir” University of Târgu Mureș will host the international round table “VR Training for Reducing Dyslexia among Students.”

The special guest of the event is Professor Mohamed Youssef, from the University of Cairo, who will present a study on the role of virtual reality training in enhancing executive cognitive functions and reducing reading difficulties among students.

The topic brings together current perspectives from educational psychology, neuropsychology, inclusive education, and assistive technologies, highlighting the potential of immersive virtual environments to stimulate attention, working memory, planning, and cognitive flexibility.

The round table is open to faculty members, students, and all those interested in educational innovation and modern support solutions for students with specific learning difficulties.

The event is hosted by Assoc. Prof. Sorina-Mihaela BĂLAN, PhD, Vice-Rector for Quality Management and Projects.
