Between September 1–5, 2025, Dimitrie Cantemir University of Târgu Mureș participated in the International Staff Week, organized by Balıkesir University (BAÜN), Turkey, an event that brought together 25 participants from 9 countries.
Our university was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sorina-Mihaela Bălan, Vice-Rector for Quality Management and Projects, who actively contributed to the discussion panels on:
- Internationalization and faculty visits at BAÜN, where participants were welcomed with great warmth and openness;
- New collaborations in the field of quality assurance and benchmarking, together with Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Rector of Balıkesir University;
- Launching international projects and building a partnership for organizing joint international conferences, discussed also with Prof. Dr. Ergun Demir.
During the meetings, directions for academic cooperation were established, and an official invitation was extended to the Rector of UDC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramona-Flavia Rațiu, to continue the dialogue and strengthen institutional cooperation.
The hosts of the event were Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu – Rector of Balıkesir University, together with Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt and Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl, and the International Relations team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İhsan Kısadere, along with Dr. Kutlu Ergün, Dinçer Kanbur, and Fikret Şen.
